Kokkai-gijidō-mae Station (国会議事堂前駅 -eki ) is a Tokyo Metro station in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan, located adjacent to the National Diet Building.
The Chiyoda Line platforms are 37.9 m underground, making this station the deepest in the Tokyo Metro network (although a number of stations on the Toei Oedo Line are farther underground). An urban legend in Tokyo proposes that this is because the government intended for the station to be used as a shelter for government workers in the event of a nuclear attack.
